Philip Swindells -

Philip Swindells trained at the University of Cambridge Botanic Gardens in the UK. An international award winning horticultural writer and broadcaster, he was formerly the Curator of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Harlow Carr Gardens in the north of England. He has extensive international horticultural experience having worked as a consultant on horticultural and botanical projects in many parts of the world; from the UK and mainland Europe, to North and South America and the Arabian Gulf. He is a former editor of the journal of the International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society, and International Registrar for Waterlilies and Lotus. Philip is the Editorial Consultant with responsibility for the production and editing of content on the IHC network of web-sites.

Victor Pennisi -

Victor Pennisi finished his secondary education at Stanthorpe State High School in 1973 and, after completing the appropriate training, worked in the automotive industry for 17 years. Having lived and worked in a ‘salad’ bowl’ region all his life, Victor left the automotive industry to become Field Manager for a major commercial horticulture operation supplying the market with some 3000 boxes of leafy vegetables daily. Victor played a major role in management of the project being responsible for refrigeration, fertigation, irrigation, propagation, employment, He was also responsible for running the ‘off farm’ operations involving the origination and management of the company’s export program into into Asian Markets. For the past 7 years Victor has managed his own retail business and played an active role as a shareholder and Director of other family investments.

Michelle Bartlett -

Michelle Bartlett graduated from High School in 1983 and went directly into full-time employment with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Michelle proved herself adept at any task she was required to undertake, serving in positions that included customer service officer, examiner, and assistant loans officer. She completed several professional development courses in both banking practice and marketing gaining advanced computer skills along the way. Within IHC Michelle partners Kathy Seeley to maintain our database of information at “leading edge” standard and makes a value-added contribution to the design-style of our website pages.
